The Holiday season has arrived. So we’ve decided to come up with a list of Covid-friendly Christmas activities that the kids can enjoy while we’re still in the midst of a pandemic.
The Elf on the Shelf
Elf on the Shelf is a great activity for the kids during Christmas. It’s one that’s been around for years and doesn’t involve leaving the house. Your children will love waking up to search for their elf every morning and seeing what kind of mischief they’ve gotten into overnight!
Family Movie Night
Having a family movie night is a good way to get into the holiday spirit. Pick out some family-friendly movies, make some buttery popcorn and hot cocoa, and watch all your favorites. You might even want to build a fort for this.
Drive-by Christmas Events
Another fun Covid-Friendly Christmas activity is drive by events. These are usually drive-by light shows or Santa trains. You can usually find these on social media or by searching “drive-by Christmas lights near me” on Google.
Socially-Distant Secret Santa
Depending on the age of your child or children, a socially-distant secret Santa is great for children in school. This can easily be set up with other parents or a faculty and it’s great for keeping your distance.
Virtual Story Readings
Virtual story readings are great for any time of the year, but they are especially great during Christmas time! Storyline Online has a wonderful selection of books and the best part about it, it’s free!
Virtual Santa Claus
A virtual Santa Claus isn’t the most ideal thing during the holidays but a virtual Santa is better than no Santa! Try having someone in your family dress up like Santa and get on a Zoom call with the children. Or find a professional.
We hope these activities give you some ideas on how to have a Covid-friendly Christmas this holiday season. Stay safe & Happy Holidays from the Sleepovers & Co. Family!
